About these terms

These terms are between you and The Maddingale Post, 304, PN Enclave, 4th Floor, Kadugodi, Bangalore – 560067, India. By using this website or placing an order, you agree to them. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka, have jurisdiction.

Using the website

Please use the website only for lawful purposes, and in a way that doesn’t interfere with anyone else’s use of it.

Products

The Maddingale Post sells physical letters containing chapters of The Mokshans, an original fantasy novel, together with printed pieces and small keepsakes. Products are offered as individual editions, as a bundle of editions, and as a monthly Mail Club. The Mail Club is currently available in India only. Images on the website show the style of each edition; individual pieces may vary slightly.

Orders

An order is placed when you complete checkout and your payment succeeds. You’ll then receive a confirmation by email. We may cancel an order and refund it in full if an item is unavailable, if we can’t deliver to your address, or if there is an obvious error in the price or product details. We’ll always tell you if we do.

Pricing

Prices are shown in Indian rupees (₹) for delivery within India and in US dollars ($) for international delivery. These are fixed prices; they aren’t converted from one currency to the other. Postage is included. The Maddingale Post is not registered for GST, so no GST is added at checkout. For international payments, your bank or card provider may charge its own currency-conversion or foreign-transaction fees. International orders may also be subject to customs duties (see Shipping & Delivery).

Payments

Payments are processed securely by Razorpay, which accepts cards, UPI and net banking. International cards are accepted, and PayPal may be offered through Razorpay for some international payments. Payment is taken in full when you place an order.

The Mail Club costs ₹399 per month and is billed automatically through Razorpay. The first payment is taken when you subscribe, and the same amount is charged on your billing date each month until you cancel. Razorpay or your bank may notify you of each charge. You can cancel at any time (see Returns & Refunds).

Shipping

Orders are dispatched every Monday. Delivery times and other details are on the Shipping & Delivery page.

Intellectual property

The Mokshans, and the letters, illustrations, artwork, text and design of The Maddingale Post, are © Madhu Latha Palli. Buying an edition gives you the physical item for your personal enjoyment. It doesn’t give you any right to copy, reproduce, publish or distribute its contents.

Limitation of liability

We take care to describe our products accurately and to deliver them safely. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any rights or remedies you have that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when they were last changed. The terms that apply to an order are the ones shown when you placed it.
